TRENT MICHELS, MANAGING DIRECTOR

Trent Michels, an Oregon native, is a 2015 West Point graduate with a degree in Defense and Strategic Studies, a minor in Counter Terrorism, a Russian language focus, and an environmental engineering track. During his time at West Point he was a member of the West Point Black Knights sport parachute team, and West Point powerlifting team. While at the Academy Trent Michels represented West Point on a military staff ride to Germany where he participated in physical fitness games against and alongside the German Military Academy. Mr. Michels is a certified Airborne military parachutist and was a Fire Support Officer with the Field Artillery upon his commissioning.

 

Mr. Michels was selected from his peers to attend and partake in lecture and discussion with the Prince of Liechtenstein at the Woodrow Wilson school of Public and International affairs at Princeton, as well as being selected by the Combating Terrorism Center to work with the FBI Counter Terrorism unit in Kansas City. Before coming to Commercial Carolina Mr. Michels spent time as a Police Officer in the City of Gastonia. During this time Mr. Michels continued his education developing an understanding in economics, real estate, and the utilization of capital markets. His diverse background and unique world view when coupled with his Lean Six Sigma certification provide all our clients the most efficient and prosperous experience.

Mr. Michels brings a military and strategic view point to the world of commercial real estate in which his strategic acumen and tenacity for accomplishment is leveraged for the benefit of all Commercial Carolina’s clients. Mr. Michels Is currently standing up the Capital Markets division elevating Commercial Carolina to a one stop shop for commercial real estate investment and development.
